From Science to Spirit:
A Journey of Healing and Transformation
Born on one of the Croatian islands, Anna’s path has been one of deep exploration—merging science, holistic healing, and spirituality. After completing her primary and higher education, she moved to the UK, where she earned a degree in Biomedical Sciences. But her curiosity didn’t stop there. A growing interest in natural healing led her to study Chinese medicine, which soon brought her to her Japanese Sensei, Kazunori Sasaki. With him, Anna immersed herself in the Art of Shiatsu, a healing method based on the body’s meridians, and Anpuku Jutsu, a traditional Japanese technique focused on healing the Hara (abdomen).

Anna’s connection with Yoga began when she was just eight years old—long before she fully understood its depth. After studying with a few teachers, she finally met her mentors, Radha and Pierre, direct students of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore. With them, she practised and studied the system of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, rooted in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, especially the foundational verse:
1.2 Yogas citta vritti nirodhah
Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.

Anna spent over 20 years learning under their guidance, primarily at their retreat in Greece. On a few occasions, she visited Mysore, India, where she was lucky to deepen her practice with Sri Sharath Jois. At Radha’s request, she eventually began teaching and sharing this tradition. After completing her studies in Yoga, Anna’s journey took her further east—to India, where she now resides. There, she began studying Hindi, Sanskrit, and Indian philosophy under the guidance of her Shiksha Guru, Satyanarayana Dasa. Soon after, she received Diksha (spiritual initiation) from her Satguru, Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda—both Gurus continue to be guiding lights in her life.

Anna has always been surrounded by powerful, nurturing women—starting with her grandmother, an accomplished healer and poet. Her path has taken her around the globe, where she has worked with women of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Today, she shares the wisdom she’s gained with women who are ready to step into their own power—those who feel a deep desire to heal, grow, and transform not just their lives but the lives of those around them.

“Womans Healing process takes place through her womb which is the source of all ground and creativity. On this kshetra or the playground the nurturing, creative and supporting energies are generated for all creative projects to manifest in Her life. The womb is a Sacred Space of Feminine Energy where physical life is nurtured and creative projects and ideas are born and brought into being. Let’s embark on this incredible journey to Holistic Wellness together!" — Anna Rakvin
